Why We're Launching a Beta Version of Memorise

We're excited to announce the launch of the beta version of Memorise! This might seem unconventional, launching an app before it's fully finished, but there are several reasons behind this decision.

The Developments Point of View

From a development perspective, a beta release allows us to gather invaluable user feedback. We can see how real people interact with the app, identify any bugs or usability issues, and gain insights into features that resonate most with users. This early feedback loop is crucial for ensuring Memorise evolves into a truly user-friendly and impactful experience.

The Personal Point of View

There's also a personal reason for launching the beta now. As a one-person team, time is a precious resource. Balancing development with a full-time job means working efficiently. A beta launch allows me to leverage the power of the user community to test and refine the app while I can continue building new features. It's also a fantastic opportunity for me to learn from user interaction and adapt to their needs. Ultimately, though I'm deeply invested in creating Memorise, I can't forget the core purpose – to help people build memories! By launching the beta now, I can ensure I have time to create new memories myself, while simultaneously helping others do the same.

Usability and Accessibility

Usability & Accessibility in the Memorise Beta

Beta on Desktop only

This initial beta launch of Memorise focuses on a desktop web app experience. While we've prioritized usability throughout development, we understand there's always room for improvement.

Your feedback is invaluable! We encourage you to try out the app and share your thoughts on how we can make it even more user-friendly.

Looking Ahead: Mobile App & Accessibility

The future of Memorise is mobile-first! We're actively developing a mobile app that will allow you to capture memories directly on the go, significantly enhancing the user experience.

Accessibility is also a top priority. We're committed to making Memorise accessible to everyone. While accessibility features are still under development in this initial release, we're actively working on incorporating them in future versions.
